IDW Announce ‘Judge Anderson’ Series from Matt Smith and Carl Critchlow

Continuing their expansion into the World of 2000AD, IDW have announced this week they will be publishing a Judge Anderson series this August. Written by 2000AD’s editor Matt Smith and drawn by 2000AD stalwart Carl Critchlow, the series will follow Judge Dredd’s colleague as she heads off into new trouble.

Anderson

Anderson is one of the longest-running characters in the history of the strip, having been a regular for several decades now. Perhaps best known for her role in one of the best Judge Dredd stories, in which she took on the Dark Judges and survived, the character recently made the leap to film as the co-lead in DREDD, played by Olivia Thurlby.

A Psi-Division agent, Anderson has psychic ability which she uses to help her solve crime – she’s a little bit mutant, which is always a help in situations like these. The series will begin in August, and looks to be ongoing.
