IDW to Publish Complete Collection of Wonder Woman Newspaper Strips

Not many superheroes have a syndicated cartoon strip running in newspapers anymore, but Wonder Woman had a pretty notable one from 1943-44. So notable, in fact, that IDW have snapped up a deal to republish the entirety of the run in an hardcover this August.

The newspaper strip covers a lot of the classic ground you’d expect it to, introducing Paradise Island, Steve Trevor, and plenty of whip-cracking. From William Moulton Marsden (her creator) and Harry G. Peter (who was one of the first artists to define the character), the strip ran for just over a year in the pre-war period.

IDW’s collection will run at just over 200 pages, and see publication in August.
