Marvel Are Planning More YA Novels

Snuck into the various announcements and stuff during SDCC was an almost-lost piece of news – with writer Margaret Stohl announcing that she has finalised a deal with Marvel to write some YA novels featuring Marvel characters, and will be doing so over the next few months.

Last year Marvel announced and launched two YA novels with Hyperion – one with Rogue, and one with She-Hulk. They were a fair, decent enough success, Google tells me, and so it looks like the company plan to expand the range. There’s no word as to which characters will be used, but let’s be honest – you’re going to want to get Pixie into these books, right?

This marks Stohl’s first work writing novels with Marvel’s characters – but she has a long history of working with the company, as she’s been writing many of their video games over the last few years (Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and so on).

More word as it comes in!
