Image Expo set a date for the second volume of Pretty Deadly, the supernatural ghoulful western series from Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Rios. Returning in September, the second arc of the series will move forward through time, for a setting during the First World War. It seems as though it’ll be close thematically to the first, although there’s no sign that the two volumes will continue on the same narrative path.
Taking to twitter after the announcement, DeConnick says that the plan is currently for four volumes in total, with one interstitial story set between parts 3 and 4. More detail later in the year, I imagine. My assumption is that colourist Jordie Bellaire will also return for this second volume, but there’s nothing to confirm this as of right now.
